02 2002 A large poster from the February 22 & 23, 2002 London Hammersmith Apollo shows - a collector's item - as we all know February 23 didn't happen. RAH A picture from Bad Mergentheim, a beer from Roger, Jon Lord's wine glass and tour book, the 1999 Royal Albert Hall poster along with the flag that can be seen on the video - inspiration with a capital "I"! This is not *the* Grand Hotel. This is the Grand Hotel Excelsior. The Grand Hotel des Alps is *the* Grand Hotel and it's outside of town to the east, nearer Castle Chillion. However, the architecture compared to the 1971 photographs suggested it could have been the real thing, but sadly, no. :-( EaL.jpg A stay at the famous Hotel Eden au Lac, where we apparently stayed in a room once occupied by Blackmore (so sayeth the hotel staff). 400CHf per nite, and no ghosts.
