Jim&Line.jpg "On the Lake Geneva shoreline..." Jim & Line take in a beautiful sunset over Lake Geneva, and yes the Swiss Alps even had a Purple hue to them! We couldn't believe the record shop in the casino *didn't* have Machine Head as one of the many album covers displayed on their walls! GrandHotel.jpg "We ended up at the Grand Hotel..." This is not *the* Grand Hotel. This is the Grand Hotel Excelsior. The Grand Hotel des Alps is *the* Grand Hotel and it's outside of town to the east, nearer Castle Chillion. However, the architecture compared to the 1971 photographs suggested it could have been the real thing, but sadly, no. :-( EaL.jpg A stay at the famous Hotel Eden au Lac, where we apparently stayed in a room once occupied by Blackmore (so sayeth the hotel staff). 400CHf per nite, and no ghosts.
